Students in Nicolet College’s Criminal Justice Club recently completed a fundraising project that resulted in the recent donation of $500 to the Rhinelander Police Department’s K9 Unit. Rhinelander Police Department Officer Mark Raddatz, and K9 Jason, front and center, recently accepted the donation. Officer Raddatz also talked to the students about the K9 Unit and Office Jason demonstrated for the students a drug sniffing exercise. Students in the Criminal Justice Club are first row, left to right, MaryBeth Tienhaara, Eagle River, Ceara Clarke, Cathryn Wohlleber, both of Rhinelander, Brielle Tauer, Grafton; second row, Jason Higgins, Three Lakes, Matthew Fessenden, Rhinelander, Michael Bryner, Crandon, Ethan Snyder, Joseph De La Vega, Lara Redmond, all of Rhinelander, Hannah Schade, Cole Leggett, Ryan Lieder, all of Tomahawk; back row, Phil Schmidt, Nicolet Criminal Justice instructor, Zackery DuBois, Ian Conkey, both of Rhinelander, Jesse Fabianski, Three Lakes, Reed Symonds, Tomahawk, Nathan Riesbeck, Rhinelander, Thomas Ginter, Crandon, Jaymie Welch, Hazelhurst, Amanda Hinz, Tomahawk, John Doane, Mariya Tuckwab, both of Crandon, and Damian Adkins, Laona. Second-year students Brielle Tauer, MaryBeth Tienhaara, and Zackery DuBois led the latest fundraising effort. The club’s next fundraising project involving current members will go to support the Crandon Police Department K9 program.
